This is a 1947 Ford one ton flathead V-8 factory stake bed truck in show room condition, with a just completed new restoration. The odometer shows 36,100 miles, which most likely could be original, considering the pristine condition when we started. The truck had a very nice older restoration, probably that was done by an average quality shop. Considering that we are picky to the point of being about quality work in our shop, no detail was omitted. This will be evidenced when you see a complete listing of our work on top of the previous restoration. We have put together a large photo file of 78 photos on photobucket so you can check it out in detail.

It is doubtful you could ever find a nicer ’47 Ford "Tonner", the name designation given by Ford for these low production trucks. This tuck will be a fully functional or show truck for another 60+ years.
The pristine condition Ford flathead V8 is a 1949 model. The original 17" rear wheels have been replaced with 19.5" rear wheels. It would have been cheaper for us to have gone back to the 17" wheels on the rears as the new tires would have been much less costly for 17" than the 19.5" tires which we installed. These are really heavy duty, brand new tires of the type commonly used on motor homes. We haven't put 20 miles on these tires. The front tires are in like new condition.
The value of this very rare stake bed truck is especially enhanced because of the total restoration of the bed as well as the truck. We have never seen another one of these classics still retaining the complete set of stakes and hardware.
In the restoration, we went through the truck from stem to stern in our shop. Our mission to put it in new condition is complete to the fullest extent of our awareness. Here is a list of items serviced, replaced and or installed, starting at the front:

* After multiple color coats as need on all truck parts, everything was clear coated with multiple coats
