Husband and wife business partners Ted and Robin Vernon -- along with the eclectic crew they've affectionately dubbed the gargoyles -- buy, sell, trade and exchange some of the most unique classic automobiles on the market. SOUTH BEACH CLASSICS is set amidst the crazy action at South Beach Classics where Ted and Robin deal in cars that range in price from a few thousand to well over 1 million dollars.
Like a kid in a candy store, Ted, a no-nonsense, gregarious Long Islander, lives to find, buy and sell the most unique, automotive treasures out there. Robin, an outspoken, stunning blonde who runs the dealership and Ted, is a master at selling cars, but she and her husband don't always agree on how to run the business. With over 300 cars on the lot at any one time, the action and the deals are fast and furious. The Vernon's clientele range from professional athletes to local Miami Beach high school students, all looking for that one-of-a-kind vehicle.
Executive producer for Pioneer Productions, Stuart Carter, says, Ted and his business make for fascinating viewing - with plenty of laughs along the way. He and his wife are terrific, larger than life characters, and the people who come onto the lot every day make for a rich and entertaining mix.
