This custom Alligator Chopper is as much a mobile piece of art as a motorcycle. The bike was built by the owner of a wildlife rehab in Florida and all proceeds go to the wildlife foundation. The alligator was donated after it had been killed by state officials. Instead of letting the big reptile's body go to waste through the natural processes of decomposition. The animal's skin and skull was mounted on the custom-built chopper. The skin is detachable, but the head is fixed permanently affixed to the handlebars and has the speedometer implanted into the back of the skull and an Ultima V-twin provides power.
The motorcycle was assembled by 60-year-old Swedish craftsman Benny Ohrman over the course of twelve months and at a cost of roughly $60,000. The alligator, which was originally ten feet long, had to be soaked in a swimming pool for three weeks before it could be molded onto the bike. This is a true one of a kind chopper! Be prepared to answer questions from the inquisitive at Bike Runs.
