This 1950 MG TD MK II is a fine example of the MG nameplate. It runs and drives great. Very few of these automobile icons are still on the road. Fewer still are the number of road-worthy units in such fantastic condition as this one! This is one heck of a car.
Very nice older restoration. It has a few chips in the paint and paints on the bonnet shows a little heat wear, but not too bad. Everything works as it should and is in very good running condition. This is a very nice car to drive and gets a lot of looks and thumbs-ups when driving around.
The car comes with a new convertible top and full Tonneau cover, side curtains, new windshield wiper blades along with extras, an extra speedometer cable, radiator cap removing tool, gas dipstick, complete service manual, engine manual, and instruction manual (electronic and printed). Compression on all cylinders is very good.
If you are familiar with MG-TDs they all have the same issue, the crankshaft rear main oil seal leaks. Even if you replace the seal with a new one, it will leak after a few hundred miles. The current owner has all the parts from Moss Motors to replace the rear main seal with one redesigned so that the car will not leak oil, it has not been installed yet as the engine will need to be pulled. If he ends up having the work done, he will need to raise the price to cover the labor cost.
